Avatâra Ayuso graduated in ballet (Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Mallorca) and Linguistics (BA and MA, Universidad Complutense de Madrid) before moving to London in 2004, where she obtained a Certificate in Higher Education (London Contemporary Dance School). In 2005 she joined the D.A.N.C.E. programme where she worked and performed internationally under the artistic direction of William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor, Frédéric Flamand and Angelin Preljocaj. In 2008 she got a Master Klass in Professional Dance by Palucca Schule Dresden. She received several study grants to complete her dance training (Instituto Nacional de Artes escénicas INAEM, Conselleria de las Islas Baleares, Fundación Roviralta, Sa Nostra and Caixa Galicia Foundation). Avatâra has been awarded several times including the “Arras Preis für Kunst und Kultur”; the Young Artist of Saxony 2012; Lisa Ullman Travelling Fund (UK); and the Business of Dance Bursary Dance UK. Avatâra is Associate Artist of the European Center for the Arts Hellerau Dresden since 2010.
Since creating ΛVΛ Dance Company in 2008, she has developed short and full length productions and have been commissioned by several institutions, among them, the European Center for the Arts Hellerau Dresden, Los Teatros del Canal de Madrid, The Place, Palucca Schule Dresden, Youth Dance England, Karlovac Dance Festival Croatia , Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and National Taipei University of the Arts. Her work has been shown in Belgium (Charleroi Danses; La Reffinerie), France (Opera de Toulon; Théâtre de la Cité du Livre d’Aix en Provence), Spain (Teatros del Canal; Xesc Forteza; Fundación Caixa Galicia de A Coruña, Festival Internacional de las Islas Canarias MasDanza), Denmark (Aarchauz Theater), Croatia (Karlova International Dance Festival), Germany (European Center for the Arts Hellerau, Staatsscahuspielhaus Dresden) and has presented works in UK at The Place, South BankCenter, Hackney Empire, Halcyon Gallery London, Hospital Club Gallery London and Dance Base Edinburgh.
Alongside her own company development, Avatâra continues to perform and teach professional class, having worked until now with Ivar Hagendoorn, Marc Brew Company and since 2007 regularly with Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company in UK.
In parallel with the development of these artistic projects, Avatâra, together with the poet Carlos Fernández and the architect Eugenia Morales, founded in 2006 didΛctance an educational dance group of professional artists to broaden the dance experience through all age groups.

Avatâra Ayuso se graduó en ballet (Conservatorio Profesional de Mallorca) y se licenció en Lingüística (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) antes de viajar a Londres en 2004, para estudiar en la London Contemporary Dance School (Certificate in Higher Education). En 2005 entró a formar parte del programa D.A.N.C.E. donde trabajó y actuó bajo la dirección de William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor, Angelin Preljocaj y Frédéric Flamand. En 2008 obtuvo un Master of Arts en Professional Dance (Palucca Schule Dresden. Alemania). Avatâra ha recibido varias becas de estudios que le permitieron completar su formación (Instituto Nacional de Artes escénicas, Consellería de las Islas Baleares, Fundación Roviralta, Sa Nostra y Caixa Galicia Foundation).
Recientemente, Avatâra ha sido galardonada con el “Arras Preis für Kunst und Kultur” 2012; el Young Artist of Saxony 2012; Lisa Ullman Travelling Fund 2013 (UK); y la Business of Dance Bursary Dance UK 2013. Desde 2010 es Artista Asociada del European Center for the Arts Hellerau Dresden.
Desde la creación de su propia compañía ΛVΛ Dance Company en 2008, ha desarrollado piezas cortas y de programa completo y ha recibido encargos de varias instituciones, entre ellas European Center for the Arts Hellerau Dresden, Los Teatros del Canal de Madrid, The Place, Palucca Schule Dresden, Youth Dance England, Karlovac Dance Festival Croatia, Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan y National Taipei University of the Arts. Su trabajo hasta la fecha se ha mostrado en Alemania, Azerbaijan, Bélgica, Francia, España, Croacia, Dinamarca, Taiwan y Reino Unido.
En paralelo a su trabajo coreográfico, Avatâra ha trabajado como bailarina y repetidora en Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company, Marc Brew Company, Ivar Hagendoorn Company y como profesora en varias instituciones, festivales y compañías en Europa.
Paralelamente al desarrollo de estos proyectos, Avatâra fundó en 2006, junto con el poeta Carlos Fernández y la arquitecta Eugenia Morales, didΛctance, un grupo pedagógico cuyo objetivo es llevar la danza a colectivos de todas las edades.
